>With widespread, sustained declines in fertility, the world population will likely peak in 2064 at around 9.7 billion, and then decline to about 8.8 billion by 2100 – about 2 billion lower than some previous estimates, according to a new study. Improvements in access to modern contraception and the education of girls and women are generating widespread, sustained declines in fertility

>The modelling research uses data from the Global Burden of Disease Study 2017 to project future global, regional, and national population. Using novel methods for forecasting mortality, fertility, and migration, the researchers from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington's School of Medicine estimate that by 2100, 183 of 195 countries will have total fertility rates (TFR), which represent the average number of children a woman delivers over her lifetime, below replacement level of 2.1 births per woman. This means that in these countries populations will decline unless low fertility is compensated by immigration.

How will this effect politics? Will declining population lower the overall profit rate of capitalism? Will capitalism's ability to generate ever higher profits finally crap the bed when there aren't ever larger amounts of people for porky to use as workers and

That's either incomplete or angry cope.

Anyone who is calling for depopulation but isn't willing to be one of the "depopulated ones" may be a nazi.
But those who would be fine with being removed/prevented from reproducing/etc. as a part of this depopulation plan is not a nazi. Here, "prevented from reproducing" means "ensured to die with 0 children", not "sterilized now, after having 8 spawn".

Any leftist that wants to treat their enemies with civility and respect is a gigantic cuck. Friendly reminder that any crimes done by communists in history pale in scope and brutality with those of rightoids. if you believe 100s of years of undisputed rule over the world and another 2 centuries of the blackest reaction can be mended with anything but the reddest of blood then you are a spineless lib with zero self respect. I am not advocating cruelty as cruelty is reactionary however executions of an immense scale need to take place if we are to create a new world.

Prove me wrong (you actually cannot)

whinging pom alert: you say this, but your immigration categories are the shittest i.e. most strongly skill based in the anglosphere. it's unironically easier to get into NZ than to Australia if you don't have any actual skills. (NZ uses their immigration system as a subsidy for their unis, so if you got memed into doing something like a History degree you can always just do your masters there to make up the points you lost for not being a world leading mathematician or farmer with 5+ years of experience. Canada seemingly just lets everyone in. Britain's system seems similarly structured to Australia's, but with far more job categories for essentially unskilled humanities graduates.)

Where was I defending the labor party or claiming they were anything other than neolibs? I said pretty clearly that I'm going to waste my vote. If I did live in a marginal urban seat I'd probably prefer them, yes, although that is not out of sympathy of respect for them but for three reasons, one being their policy on China is less suicidal, two their pandemic response will likely be more competent and the final reason being their policy on the environment and particularly the Murray darling basin is better than outright CIA backed mafia rule which currently poses a near existential threat.

>So it doesn't convince me when you say 'white nationalism is good actually, because laborites in 1890 were white nationalists'

Never said this or anything remotely similar. You're just making stuff up.

>And to reduce all the history of the different socialist and left-wing movements into just the large unions and the labor party is an insult to the actual communists and socialists that existed in those times.

Where did I do this? Can you show me where I supposedly claimed that the labor party ever represented socialism?

>Also, recognising the adverse affects of immigration on wages etc does not have anything to do with being nationalist or 'pro-white'.

They're just not thinking and stuck in a weird ultra-leftist mentality.

Lack of common groundedness & glue holding a people together will inevitability lead to rising of tribalism or Indian style communalism, whether it is around race/ethnicity, religion, consumer identity or whatever else.

If you want to avoid people chimping out over how un-melanated or melanated their genitals are then you have to be able to present a stronger, more unifying & more materially grounded form of common identity which solidarity can form around.

wut, they did a great job in Syria swatting drones and guided munitions(aside from the few cases where the Syrian soldiers decided to go take a smoke break rather than manning the guns). The questionable area is Libya, but those were UAE pantsirs without the whole radar set up and it's unknown who was actually crewing them.

 No.411942[Reply]

Line 3 is a tar sands pipeline that’s running 1,097 miles from Edmonton in Alberta Canada all the way to Superior in Wisconsin USA. Enbridge, the company placing this pipeline, is responsible for the largest inland oil spill in history. All of their pipelines leak and their corporation is notorious for under-maintaining their lines. The line is in progress of being constructed and has already polluted hundreds of miles of wetlands, rivers, lakes, and even aquifers along its path with toxins and carcinogenic chemicals. It will affect the fresh water supply for millions of people of all kinds.

Why should you care? If the scale of pollution doesn’t move you, then I’ll have you know, the pipeline goes right across my family’s land in Mahnomen county in Minnesota. Land my family has settled and farmed for over 120 years. The pipeline is planned to go straight through me and my late grandfather’s favorite fishing lake before he was hit by a drunk driver, if that wasn’t tragic enough. My entire family lives there and they live on the well water from the ground in every single household. This is land my brother and I are expected to one day inherit and take care of.
I’m not of any indigenous descent, but I stand by their struggle to protect the land, because it’s been made very, very personal.
We all need your help. So I ask you, I beg you, sign the petition to stop line 3.

Reminder most of these pipeline segments end up getting around environmental impact assessments through executive orders. That fucker Obama actually approved dozens of these tar sand to gulf coast segments at the same time the media was pretending the Keystone XL segment was the only line that mattered.
>>

 No.412786

>>411942
If you want to be morally right you have to oppose the pipeline, but realize that winning means making the line unprofitable with all kinds of stuff like doing guerilla tactics and material sabotage on such a scale that fighting against you, costs the company more than the potential profits of the line. Especially capitalists in fossil fuel exploitation industry usually show no willingness to compromise unless they are physically forced to.

If you want to safeguard your personal interests with reasonable effort and risk find a different company that builds higher quality pipelines that don't leak and get them to fund a political takeover of the project. You might loose the good fight but you'll probably won't get chemical-spilled. I don't know anything about pipelines, but I assume that a high quality pipeline that has regular leakage detection robots go through the inside of the line once or twice a year, do not have any leaks. I mean it's a long tube, it ought to be possible to do that right.

sup /leftypol/,
has anyone else here gone from reading theory online, becoming leftist politically, and tried becoming involved with IRL activist and leftist groups only to find them mainly full of massive weirdos and mentally ill people?

I want to join an actual pro-working class org full of normal working-class people, but every group I run into / look at seems to be just outcast lumpens and dilettante PMC college kids. doesn't help that half the people involved in these groups IRL seem to be gay or trans or some other weird idpol group.
