Those deaths are due to lack of economic development. Capitalism is responsible for that to some degree (wars, colonialist subversion, …) but not even close to 100%.
Building up local means of production, logistics etc. to sustainably provide all that to
several billion (with a b) people is not even remotely "easily preventable". Look at how many decades it took post-ww2 China to become something relatively functioning.
Would you say feudalism was responsible for all who died of hunger under it?
