>they're all zoomer LARP'ers with self-esteem problems?
As a zoomer, its practically this. I have yet to meet an IRL far-right zoomer who wasn't some kind of politcal screensaver who desperately adopted whatever politcal ideology on the far-right that suited them in a given moment, all just so that they could construct their identity around it for a few months before moving onto something new. Actually having genuine convictions is the rarest thing in my generation, because most "politically minded" people just adopt ideology on the fly to suit some kind of emotional need, either to spite some perceived group or make their support of one more prominently known. Knew someone growing up that went from your typical nu-atheist metalhead to a wehraboo larper (with the full on "100% German ancestry" shtick to go with it) to a transsexual tradcath to now some kind of obscene mix of /biz/ and /pol/.
