The colonizers brought in Indians first as slaves and then as indentured servants. Trinidad, Suriname and Guyana all have 30 to 50 percent Indian populations who have lived there since the late 1800s and speak only English. The majority religion is Hinduism lmao. Indians had a large influence on the carribean as well. The largest minority after African is Indian in most carribean countries. Things like goat curry and kebab are popular dishes even in places with no Indian population. It was mainly the Dutch and British who brought over Indians. The Spanish and Portuguese didn't need Indian slaves hence why most of South America is 0 percent indian

And? I'm not referring entirely to race. Mapuche culture and traditions are basically extinct in urban Chile, while Peru has a big countryside and Catholic/Incan traditions kept alive there.
The only difference Chile has with Argentina and Uruguay is our accent and that we lack italian surnames.
