It would be hard for American capitalism to pacify the masses if it makes the masses homeless and have nothing less to lose if they join a revolutionary army against the US army. Imperial France fell so fast because the armed rebels quickly outnumbered the French Army and were far more aggressive in battle.

The US army having the AR-15 doesn't change things. In the Detroit 1967 riot the 101 and 82 airborne had to go in with armored units to protect them from the small arms of the rioters.
Even then fully mobilized the US Army only has a bit over 1 million troops and that is spread across the world where we are talking about 11 million people in mainland USA being evicted all at once.

To put into perspective, the population of paris(28th most populous city in the world), is 11 million, imagine the entire population of paris becoming homeless in the territory of the US, and the world city of the homeless currently is new york (which is also US most populous city), what i guess will happen is mass looting in areas that the homeless get pushed into and increased police presence, as well increase in police brutality cases.

It's a dumb conflict that people create caused by government.

If you are going to stop the person to be able to evict tenant from the building during covid then the landlord shouldn't be able to hold off on their bills on the home to the bank as well.

From the leftist perspective they end up shitting on the landlord all day and giving the bank the free pass that the landlord has to keep paying every month on the home on their loan.

Housing is expensive due to the zoning laws against density that makes building housing inefficient (if your goal is to provide housing). The US Army is a paper tiger. The only forces capable of suppressing a national uprising or even a small counter-insurgency are the national guard units. The national guard is mostly made up of very diverse proletarians who merely are trying to get a leg up. These people aren't at all morally, politically, or even physically capable of dealing with armed resistance from a population with more guns than people. Marine and Army units are also overstretched along with politically unreliable (split along racial lines, officers vs ncos vs soldiers, and standard politics) to the point where if a serious armed conflict erupts in the US the institution will crash and burn along with the rest of the country.

That's actually false most evictions have been streamlined because of landlords interests, even supposedly slow states like California have evictions that take two weeks other states like Florida (and most of the south) it's three days. If an eviction does take a long time it's because the landlord did something so fucking egregious that the case had to be seriously looked at.

This is just landlord propaganda essentially

Tell that to anyone that stood up against the US Army, while they lack endurance they still hit hard. Unless you are the PRC or the former Warsaw Pact you are not going to much success by opening with locking horns and going to focus on out manoeuvring US forces. As for the National Guard they were easily brushed aside by the Great Railway Strike of 1877 where it was only the arrival of federal troops that crushed the uprising.

>>409250
like that other anon said >>410139 its landlord propaganda that it takes "years" to go through the system. The system is only a moratorium which means they can process evictions as normal they just can't PHYSICALLY evict until its up. As soon as that deadline turns they will be calling the sheriff

>it's a nothing burger
Let's do a quick recap, people.
The victims of this eviction coincidentally happen to consist of African Americans, who, mind you, were emboldened to riot last year due to abuses of police power. Consider that red-lining, the US government displacing African Americans repeatedly, has been an action that has been repeatedly done on them. Now, combine that with the fact that the USA has done little to provide infrastructure, and is still in the midst of a pandemic. Now also combine this with the fact that these communities are going to have to set up somewhere in order make ends meet.

I predict that this is far from a "nothing burger". This will have massive consequences in the future.

The next decade will be extremely awful for workers, even if they land on their feet after an eviction Bidens green new deal which shadows Europe is basically a set of regressive taxes that will be taken out on the consumer, so between the rising rents and higher taxes we will once again see a miraculous movement of wealth from the workers to capital.

 No.410209

I haven’t been paying rent, but I read that the covid declaration form they made people sign was bait. If you sign it the landlord can take you to small claims which is more efficient than eviction court and the judge will just side with the landlord.

So the way it will play out is most people will just get a judgment against them and the landleeches will be able to garnish their wages until the debt is paid off. So basically its a type of college debt trap for adults.

Yeah but eviction court people can get lawyers and request a jury etc. other protections that small claims court doesnt have.

With the bait declaration it goes to small claims court where the judge will likely just grant judgments against all the renters.

Basically a debt trap. Also with the cheap credit and loans gov has been handing out, theyve set everyone up for a giant debt trap.

Literally central california, south dakota and southwestern/west texas disprove your claim.

all those places are lit up orange and have a low percentage of african americans. So its not JUST a african american problem.

Secondly, black people being poorer isn't necessarily indicative of IQ when you consider the fact that banks refused loans to blacks even if they had the right financial metrics. Loans to buy homes that apperciate in value, loans to live in better school districts or to be able to create a business. Constant racial riots would destroy centers of black wealth like they did in the greenwood neighborhood of Tulsa. Blacks would routinely be passed up for promotions until the 1980s when people stopped caring about race as much. It was codified into law that blacks couldn't even attend certain school districts. The black man has had maybe 30-40 years of actual freedom with very little if any government condoned discrimination or sponsored violence. White people have had generations to build wealth.

They're making a killing in part exactly because of how things are. They've spent decades and billions of dollars in order to make cuts to things like unemployment insurance, healthcare access, workplace safety oversight, government regulations, etc. Now covid is threatening to walk those gains back, alleviating pressure on portions of the population the hyper exploitation of which the bourgeoisie rely on.

Regardless of the reality of things, the prevailing bourgeois "wisdom" is that proles are lazy and need to be "encouraged" to work, and this "labor shortage" is proof that if benefits are too generous then the poors will stop making them money. Covid relief means poverty relief, and relief from poverty means less profits for porky.

That's the root of all these attempts to "return to normal" and try to declare the pandemic over. Porky doesn't want any more relief for working people because all their wealth and power is predicated on it, and they don't care how many working people die because there's always more where that came from.
