What does /leftypol/ think about the Effective Altruism movement?
For those of you who don't know it a very popular idea among Silicon Valley business leaders and focuses on doing the most good in the world by focusing on the long term outcomes of earth based life many many generations in the future.

My only experience with them is that they hosted a debate between an actual election scientist and one of the hucksters at FairVote recently and watching the latter get BTFO over their bullshit motte and bailey arguments for IRV was glorious.
