I just wanna know.
Why are more young people beginning to skew towards liberalism? And because of that, liberalism became trendy. More and more people are identifying themselves with neoliberal idpol tags, such as being bi, being gay, being black, they/them/his, etc etc.
And how are we going to save future generations from the toxic encroaches of liberalism?

neoliberalism is milton friedman. it is monetarism, it is the present system of selective free trade and outsourcing, it is the belief that the state must protect and sometimes even create markets. it is new public management. it is deregulation, it is balanced budgets without reference to the economic cycle. it is public choice theory, it is public-private partnerships and part-privatizations. it is the californian ideology, sillicon valley nightmares, stock market surrealism. it is asset sales and anti-democratic, but it is not, nor will it ever be, the proliferation of identity groups. neoliberalism is an economic concept and system, only the pain and suffering is social.

The modern liberal culture is developed from cutting-edge material developments such as tech, porn, sex, games, film, drama, sports, fashion and so on. This rearranges moral values in society. Human beings cannot be chained anymore by ancient organized religions with strict feudal disciplines. It has nothing to do with it being more persuasive.

Basically, neoliberalism reduced emancipation to individual self-actualization. Hyperindividualism etc. It wasn't necessarily done on purpose, although after the victory of capitalism over socialist USSR, there was a big push to eliminate any differentiation between citizens.

Eg. No more anti-Semitism. No more class politics. No more sexism, etc. The desire became for everyone to be equally dignified. Regardless of race, class, sex, etc.

The eventual result of this is the mainstream notion of intersectionality.
