How is Socialism supposed to be fair? How could it possibly distribute limited goods and services rationally and fairly? Take Caviar for instance, it's a food product with a limited amount of production. Under Socialism, who gets Caviar? You can't possibly distribute and ration a "fair" amount to everybody in a country can you? Who gets Caviar first? Who doesn't get Caviar? Is this fair?

How would Socialism go about making Caviar fair?
>>

 No.403991

Why do I give a fuck about people getting caviar? Will people’s quality of life become worse without it? What does fairness have to do with socialism anyways?

So you admit socialism as a concept completely falls apart when it comes to any sort of luxury goods. So why would people want a system that drastically reduces quality of life and happiness?

More like politburo members, generals, distinguished propaganda artists get caviar. Lenin owned 9 rolls Royces.

pretty sure if you let capitalism go unchecked, there won't be caviar anymore. ergo you have to rely on socialism to provide caviar. there might be less of it, but at least you'll have the chance to savor some. the concept is called "delayed gratification" because capitalism now equates to civilizational suicide.

Good way for you to say unnecessary garbage dude. Like the Soviet Union did with cars, just sign up on a list and wait for your turn. That’s not even talking about commodities that are only limited because of capitalist artificial shortages and brainwashing as campaigns.

Take your own example in caviars. Most reasonably moderate climates can have farms for harvesting them, but the fries are limited because of capitalist exclusivity. Then the canning is made “by hand”™️ even any simple canning machine can put salt in egg rows easily. It have the same amount of limitations as garbage like diamonds or the bricks with brands on them.

It won't, Socialism is a supremacist system, it's the supremacy of workers. Nothing in society (goods, services, buildings) can exist without the labor needed to create it, it's completely natural that the providers of society's most important common denominator also be the one's to guide society. On a side note, your qualm about the distribution of Caviar also assumes that Socialism is merely or totally some kind of eternal distribution of stuff, which is generally wrong. Socialism does involved distribution typically, particularly the distribution of certain kinds of property, but in the case of the USSR: production occurred, goods were distributed to stores and later purchased with Soviet currency by workers, your hypothetical assumes Socialism wants to constantly distribute all goods all the time, which is wrong.

>Delayed gratification, or deferred gratification, is the resistance to the temptation of an immediate pleasure in the hope of obtaining a valuable and long-lasting reward in the long-term. In other words, delayed gratification describes the process that the subject undergoes when the subject resists the temptation of an immediate reward in preference for a later reward.
<A growing body of literature has linked the ability to delay gratification to a host of other positive outcomes, including academic success, physical health, psychological health, and social competence.
Capitalism = instant gratification and the literal retardation or extermination of human civilization
Socialism = delayed gratification and the progression of civilization

And? Are there any real barriers of entry to being all the above? Most if not all of the soviet heads of government and probably many top party officials grew up is dirt poor peasants. If Caviar and other perks incentivize people to work hard and get those positions, I don’t see a contradiction. But a society that says “if you don’t make enough money you deserve to be locked out of the things needed to live” is one on the precipice of its own self-destruction.

And if we can make enough caviar so that it’s available to everyone, then I don’t see why you can’t ration it out to people through economic planning.

Obvious troll post but whatever.
Caviar is a luxury. If caviar is your main concern instead of society decaying into a dystopian hellscape of poverty, crime, homelessness, addiction illness and want, while on the other side there are a few who become fabulously wealthy directly off this degradation, then you're part of the problem.

To answer your question, however. The producers of caviar would see fit as to how it is distributed . You are still able to produce and sell consumer goods under socialism. It is heavy industry and critical infrastructure and the necessities of life rather than inessential retail items that are socialized.

Socialists make caviar cheap and affordable to everyone while western caviar eaters screech at them, both USSR and China, for making caviar non-elite food. Funny how it works - while under communism, caviar was in every shop, and everybody preferred fish meat, but now, under capitalism, russians just don't consume caviar almost ever, it's all artificial caviar because there's proletarian culture rituals centered around caviar, but proles can't afford real caviar.

Regarding other points: simply removing capitalists and other parasites from the equation vastly improves distribution of goods in an economy. Not letting financial retards like bitcoin miners or cryptofags to even exist will improve the economy significantly.
