If I'm a welder and I'm out drinking with the other workers can I just say "hey everyone let's all agree to have one guy argue for us to the boss to end "certain policy" and if they don't then we will strike" would such a thing be illegal under current American law? Why don't more people do that?

I just wondered this because I've organized a mass job walk off just as a fuck you to shitty management. We all got hired at another company and all said we weren't coming in on the same day lmao. Depends on the size of the shop tho. I've had a shop of like 20-30 guys. Each one was vital for their role and even if one guy took a day off it totally screwed up our entire production assembly. I usually hang with around 5-8 people at each job so it wouldn't be hard at all to just shut down everything. Especially in us trades since there's not a lot of people who can do shit and even less that aren't constantly drunk or high lmao
