Absolutely Correct, For example Noam Chomsky does not support any successful revolution, he is in the most original sense of the word a Right winger due to this fact that he doesn't even have support for the French revolution.
Additionally within American Liberalism it is its left wing that is most focused on stabilizing and spreading it. Being that the vast majority of americans are not revolutionary what this means is that this "left" is left only within liberalism- it only seeks to Progress liberalism. Conversely within the liberal Dichotomy it is its right that is most focused on containing it, and contradicting its own evolution- they seek to hold it in place- to Conserve it.
Capitalism has to spread to continue, it must defy the falling rate of profit- and so this will either cannibalize its own society for quick profit or it will spread to establish profit generation off of exploited subaltern.
Within the imperial core these are the mainstream rights and 'lefts'.
Remember, it is the Democrats who are the mainstream left, like it or not, and it is this vehicle that is the more imperialist, that liberal internationalism is more associated with. It is the Democrats who always 'fix' this system, who reform it, who progress it, who spread it, who reinforce it. The Right just conserves and consumes it.
The Western Left is dominated by the Liberal Left. Understanding that Liberalism as a whole is right wing shows that it is those who are progressive within Liberalism that are most fundamentally right wing, with those maintaining it not to their left, but instead simply less interested in its perpetuation and maintenance, thus simultaneously less strongly right wing while still being to its right- just not as strongly, which in end result leads to a weaker liberalism, leading to a stronger opposition to Liberal Dichotomy, Finally leading to a stronger 'True' Left.
