Most of the time the public doesn't see or interact with porkies directly and it's not uncommon for them to hate the easily visible porkoids.

Instead, porkies surround themselves with a wide range of various elite who serve to both absorb anger (while being mostly protected from it) and also serve as the eyes, ears, and fine details of plan enactment for the imperial bourgeoisie. This leaves actual pork free to only interact with the public through carefully controlled interviews and maintain good PR, while their cohorts of mid-level leaders are the ones to take the flak
