>>376296>The midwit meme is fucking retarded and so is anyone using it. It's literally just the /pol/ version of the PMC meme.Sooo it's good?
>The vast majority of white collar professionals are "midwits" with the exception of some top scientists, mathematicians, etc. who may be somewhat above that. You don't understand what a midwit is. This guy
>>376451 knows what a midwit actually is. We don't care about IQ/autism level, it's about what you do as an individual.
>revealing them to basically be at the level of an arrogant sophomore philosophy major.Philosophy is basically religion but for midwit who they are above the irrational force of social coercion.
>Every conservative ideologue in history, from Nietzsche, to Burke, to Jordan Peterson, to Charles Murray, to Ayn Rand have the exact same takeWay to out yourself as a midwit.
>All this bullshit about "high iq" people disregarding empirical evidence, reason, or research in favor of gut instinct is just idealist nonsense designed to obfuscate their preference for an unthinking acceptance of tradition and hierarchy. Are you a troll from /pol/ or are you legitimately this retarded? It's called deductive reasoning, moron.
I could say the same exact fucking thing about your shitty post, you're just making an empiricist argument using buzzwords you saw on snopes or CNN to obfuscate your preference for radlibs politics.
>The progressive forces of history have always used reason to critique and interrogate the existing hierarchical order of things. By the midwit meme, thinkers like Locke, Rousseau, Spinoza, and Adam Smith would have been considered "midwits" for questioning the privileges of the aristocracy or the divine right of kings. <Locke<progressive forceYou're a troll, there's no way someone could be this legitimately retarded, making an argument against midwits while still being this much of a fucking midwit. That or you rightfully feel offended by the meme, which is targeted at people like you.
Let me guess, you're one of these retards who still wonder why so many American follow Trump despite him being "irrational"?
Reason is not an end in itself, it's a tool among others, reasons is good to understand the world, but it falls flat when put against the brutes forces of reality. People don't become part of a political movement because of "reason", they become part of a movement because they have material imperatives that align with those of the movement. I won't join the vegan movement despite their arguments, which to their credit, is mostly rational; not because I am not rational, but because I couldn't care less about their ideas because they don't align with my personal interest as a person.
>An attack on reason is an attack on the tools of self emancipation as fascism and reaction have always thrived on mysticism and irrationality.I am going to go ahead and say reason is a tool of the bourgeoisie to maintain power, to be a socialist is to reject the "rational" arguments of liberal with their "rational macro long-term perspective" in which everyone ends up magically happy and rich. "In the Long Run we are all dead", and with this simple sentence your whole rational system collapse on itself.
Your argument implies that we aren't naturally geared toward following reason, rather that we are animals guided by our impulses; when you oppose the "fascists" with "reason" you imply human being could somehow exists without reason as if such a thing was possible. Fascists have their own reasons to be fascist, and when you come with your retarded dichotomy of "reason vs irrationality" you just come of as a massive liberal retard. I am not going to further write down my thoughts, you do your fucking research and then you come back with real fucking arguments. Go fuck yourself.
