From an early age I was told people had 1 dominant hand and those extensively using their other hands (as in suppressed lefties) were damaging their brains. I felt my left hand was mostly useless and was conscious to use my right hand as much as possible.
After I understood new movements cannot damage the brain, but only exercise coordination, I began to use my left hand when it was more convenient in a position and sometimes randomly. Ever since I feel more reactive, because my ability to grasp at something doesn't depend as much on my stance anymore and while I still write with my right hand, typing on the keyboard and subconscious actions are mostly balanced. I also now find it to be easier, to transfer a movement to another hand, than to learn the reverse movement.
Abolish hand dominance!
