My name is Valerie, and I am a Black trans woman from the USA. I've been involved in radical activism since my freshman year here at Liberal University and I have become somewhat disillusioned with the state of the "progressive" movement of which I was formerly a part.

My first concern is that activist circles are generally too white, too male, and too cis. This is especially problematic in those times and places where I feel like excluding people on those bases. After all, as we know, it's not possible to fight for QTBIPOC+ liberation unless these oppressor-identities are subordinated to QTBIPOC+ leadership and primacy.

<Hey! As an Indigenous Two Spirit person, I think it's really problematic that you say QTBIPOC+ instead of QTIBPOC+, thereby emphasizing Indigenous liberation LESS than Black liberation! Unfair!

Shut up, nobody asked you. The only way to solve this issue is to restrict leadership positions to people who fit at least two but preferably all of the following traits:
>BIPOC
<IBPOC! IBPOC!
(Shut up!)
>Not a man
>Queer or Trans (masc cis gays or femme cis lesbians not as preferred)
>Disabled (visible disabilities preferred)
>A survivor of sexual assault (only if a woman or non-binary person assaulted by a cis man)

My second concern pertains to hip-hop music. Being Black, I love hip-hop and have zero criticisms of any Black hip-hop artists. I'm also glad we managed to get whitey to stop saying the n-word when repeating hip-hop lyrics. Our liberal white allies are very diligent in either replacing, mumbling, or just omitting n-words when rapping.

But does whitey have any right to hip-hop in the first place? When whitey listens to hip-hop, the n-words are repeated and recorded by their brain, which is unacceptable. Even just buying a record or attending a concert is downright cultural appropriation way I see it. The only solution is to designate hip-hop a Black-only interest, thereby saving its soul. If a racist little white person disagrees, they can't even claim to care about Black Lives!

My third and final concern is about "anti-imperialism". White radicals are often enthusiastic about this term without understanding its meaning. What some of them believe, is that imperialism is the highest stage of capitalism, that the richest nations exploit the poorest, and that the international unity of workers can liberate those nations. This is, of course, ridiculous and obviously incorrect.

The truth of the matter is this. Imperialism is the highest stage of RACISM, and happens because white people are really racist. The whitest nations oppress all others, especially Black nations. Only the unity of all BIPOC nations against white nations can bring liberation.

Some of these white radicals assume that by opposing US imperialism, they are anti-imperialist. This is often accidentally correct (i.e. when the President and Vice-President are both white) but definitely not during the Obama or the Harris-I mean Biden administration. Some whites oppose anything the US does when it is led by BIPOC, which is also proof that they are racists. The solution is of course to support Biden/Harris unconditionally and to continue pushing for more QTBIPOC+ representation in D.C.
