If gender were to be abolished in some way, there would be virtually no trans people. We shouldn't mistreat trans people for having an identity that was mostly made possible thanks to the existence of the cultural gender and its contradictions, and they are valid as long as gender is a thing. But I don't think we should mindlessly push people to adopting this identity more and more (in other words, forcing them to become more uncomfortable with themselves through cultural influence and societal pressure). I believe a lot of trans people have been influenced to a great extent by trauma, low self-esteem and porn, and most likely some mental illness like schizophrenia or a disorder like autism has a lot to do with it in many cases, so we should focus on those as well to prevent more people from developing gender dysphoria whenever possible (and those who are already trans should be given the treatment or surgery they want, if it makes them feel happier and more complete as a normal person, of course).
Whether you want to have a certain role in society or dress/look a certain way or call yourself a certain way, it should not be dictated by the genitals you were born with; it shouldn't be an issue, just like being attracted to dicks or vaginas or boobs or muscular bodies or short hair or dark skin shouldn't be a huge deal and automatically make you "different". In an ideal world, "trans" should cease to exist and everyone should be free to identify however they want without a masculine/feminine binary to restrict their choices. And if you want your body to look different, of course you should have the freedom to change it as long as it's safe (which in the distant future it probably will be, and more effective). Only "male" for people with a penis and "female" for those with a vagina would be used to differentiate them, but it wouldn't force them into an arbitrary definition of "man" and "woman".
That is not to say, of course, that trans people are not valid human beings, or that they're at fault for their own condition of being trans. I do not hate trans people at all but I hate having to witness how transgenderism, in a society where gender as a social construct still exists and is forced upon every one of us, is treated as a completely simple-to-explain and healthy thing that should absolutely not be questioned lest you be called a fascist transphobe (for example, this
>>114150 is very obnoxious, even though I know that actual transphobes use the "capitalist degeneracy" argument a lot). "Trans rights! PERIOD" sounds like some liberal bullshit to be honest, even though yes, trans people should be treated with the same respect and dignity as everyone else by default. Society makes all of us ill in different ways, and some are hit harder than others, is what I think.
Also I hate TERFs for being liberal, misandrist and transphobes, but to play devil's advocate here, they are partly right about a lot of supposed "trans women" only being sick fetishists (which I think has to do with them being men), which is a problem obviously, and about actual trans women not having experienced life and trauma as a woman (though those trans women have most likely suffered their own traumatic experiences, and others have had similar experiences to cis women, not to mention that both are victims of misogyny and patriarchy in different but closely related ways).
What I've just said is very offensive to some people on here, I'm sure.
>>114160Oh wow someone else already elaborated on it.
>>114154>Autism isn't real.I think it shouldn't be considered a "disorder", but rather a cluster of personality traits. Autism is real in that sense at least.
>>115023I don't hate them as much but I wouldn't be super sad about it. But as long as Americans dominate the world I'll be worried if China loses, because I feel we need them while a powerful enough international communist movement is built.
