You cannot understand the burger mentality until you understand American Civic/Civil religion, a form of religious nationalism that is parallel to Christianity and operates as a (ironically, arguably idolatrous) form of pseudo-religion or pseudo-Christianity. Rural burgers believe in American civil religion to their CORE, not the educated urbanites I mean the “real” america, the anglo rural "christian" boomers of the 90% of burgerland that isn’t major metropolitan areas, the so called “hinterland”.

Abraham Lincoln was like a prophet, speaking the truth to the people in a time of crisis, calling on the nation to repent of their sins. In this case secession and slavery, and to live up to “authentic” american ideals.

Reagan was more the high priest, singing the praises of the nation and reminding everyone of the nation’s God-given mission to be a shining city on a hill for all the world to see and imitate.

As a Baptist, Bill Clinton invoked the name of God more than any of them, and like most presidents he used the language a pastor might use when preaching to his congregation. Barrack Obama did the same, invoking the name of God in every speech, consistently portraying the American nation as a people unified by a shared belief in the “American Creed” aka classical liberal ideology. Social contract, assenting to the American creed is like entering into a “covenant”.

America is God’s chosen people, at one point it was Israel and now it’s America’s responsibility to be a light to the nations. In this sense it makes perfect sense why Israel and burgerstan have such an affinity because they have extremely similar settler colonial religious mythologies.

America is an exceptional nation, America has been anointed by God to promote and protect freedom (read: Capitalism and bourgeois democracy) around the globe. This is why terrorism against America must be punished, the reason the united states not only should, but has a responsibility to be the “worlds policeman”. “Isolationism” is a sinful heresy. The president’s authority is from God. Civil authorities including the presidents rule in God’s name, and their decisions and actions should reflect that fact – they must be ‘Godly’ people. And the governed must take the god given authority of presidents seriously and owe them our loyalty and obedience. Justice cannot only be based on laws, it must also come from religion. There is a significant and close link made between America, justice, and the coming kingdom of God – perhaps America is the kingdom of God. God can be known through the experiences of the American people, just as God was once revealed and known through the history of the people of Israel, today God is being known and revealed through the history of the United States, because God’s hand is guiding the nations course, and it’s fate. Holidays like the fourth of July are religious as well as patriotic. Veterans day, thanksgiving, etc. “God bless America” - God blesses America, not England, France, Egypt, etc. because America has been singled out for special blessing. America is God’s chosen people.

Civic religion has Saints like Betsy Ross and Davey Crockett, to General Douglass MacArthur, and even Steve Jobs. The greatest saints of all are the martyrs, those who died defending/promoting “the faith” aka civic religion. From east to west the country is filled with shrines, parks, and statues of soldiers.

Civic religion has its heretics as well. Beginning with Benedict Arnold, and including all those who refuse to conform or participate, whether they be Communists, or pacifists like Dorothy Day.

Research shows college graduates and political/religious liberals tend to be less civil religious. Religions that were created in the United States like Mormons and Pentecostals, are the most civil religious. Jews, Unitarians, and agnostics/atheists are the least. But overall the vast majority of Americans of any background are “civil religious”.

Idolatry

So-called “Christian” nationalism isn’t really even christian, its just a roided out, souped up version of American civic religion with a pseudo-christian veneer. Idolatry isn’t just worshipping a Golden cow, its not about beliefs its about behavior, directing energy and loyalty away from God to a non God secular person or thing.

In the first book of Samuel, the Israelites demand Samuel choose and appoint a king for them. They want a king like all the other nations. In response, God equates their request for a king with serving other gods, because by demanding a human king the Israelites have rejected God from being king over them. Jesus preached the coming of the kingdom of God, exactly what the Israelites in Samuel’s day rejected.

Isaiah accused the Israelites of putting their faith in horses and chariots, in military might instead of God. Faith in military might, material goods, etc. is misplaced energy, loyalty, and trust, which is a form of idolatry. When any non god thing takes the place of God, that is idolatry, which is exactly what the legions of evangelical-schizos are doing when they are raising their hands in a worshipful way the same as they do in church, but at a Trump rally. They are making one guy, their king, and putting him in front of God, an idol. If they had half a brain to even understand their religion they would realize that Christian nationalism isn’t christian and in some sense ironically is actually anti christian.

This isn't surprising to anyone who knows the history of evangelical Protestantism which was largely founded/popularized by lay preachers, sometimes who would roll around on the ground "holy rollers" and speak in tongues, traveling religious revivalists, and in some cases literal illiterates, all of whom would invent their own homebrew version of christianity that would run roughshod over any kind of scholarship on the bible in favor of "doing their own research" and adopting extremely literal interpretations as a result. It's basically the Rastafarianism of 19th century white Americans, combining normal christianity with their own made up bullshit and vulgar uninformed readings because they didn't trust the "educated" theologians.

Let us take this notion seriously.

Supply is going to necessarily going to be in some kind of quantity of a commodity. Ounces of gold, pounds of wheat, individual toys, tools, furniture. Whatever.

Price is going to be expressed in some monetary unit. Dollars, yuan, etc. Therefore, in order to get the proper units to convert, demand must be a unit of "dollars per commodity" so that the units cancel properly.

How does one determine what the current value of the "dollars per commodity" variable is? You can not determine this from the sale price because then you are circularly defining the price from the demand and the demand from the price. What is measured to resolve this?

Since supply and demand are expressed as curves, these curves have to have their own functions. How are they derived? Since supply and demand both have curves that cross both the "quantity" axis and the "price" axis, they're both inherently reliant on the price itself in the definition of their functions.

Gender only materially exists insofar as the sexes can be assigned certain roles for their physiological ability in relationship to the needs of their society. A male is strong and hunts or does difficult labour, but most people don't hunt anymore and difficult labour is becoming obsolete. The more vulnerable female needs protection and focuses on birthing and raising her offspring, but that vulnerability shrinks in severity as daily life becomes safer, and her duties become obsolete along with it. The material origins of gender will be abolished when the need for physiological differences between men and women are overcome, and from there it's just a matter of ideology.
Why is gender seperate from sex? The reason why I say "gender" and not "sex roles" is because such "sex roles" would have to be fluid and open to modification. If a large percentage men in given a society are absent or dead, the remaining women have to take up their roles, and vice-versa (within reason). There is plenty of evidence for this throughout human history, but I must repeat once again that such roles are slowly becoming subverted as such socially necessary physiological differences are being rendered obsolete by technological advancement.
In the far future, assuming that our mastery of biology allows us to alter our forms in novel ways, the same will happen to sex and even our to our definition of humanity. But let's put that aside for now.

The conflation of gender and sex confounds our method of dealing with trans identity politics.
I refuse to refer to all trans people as transgender. Why? Simply put, there are some cases of trans people for whom sex reassignment surgery benefits them, and likewise there are some for whom it harms them. I will differentiate from these two categories by using the terms transsexual and transgender.
Transsexual people are those who believe that their assigned sex does not correspond to their real sex. Why they believe this should not be our concern. The most successful treatment for these people is often to help them transition into their desired sex. For many of them, doing so is a milestone in overcoming a lifelong struggle. We should avoid mislabing transsexual people as transgender.
Transgender people are those who believe that their assigned gender does not correspond to their real gender. But the problem here is obvious: what is their "real" gender? Is it the gender that most corresponds to their physiology? Perhaps in the past this would be acceptable, and we could arguably justify treating them the same was as transsexuals, but as gender becomes less and less based on socially necessary physiological differences, this explanation becomes more and more dubious. The "real" gender of a transgender person is ultimately whatever they want to believe, because gender is no longer a strictly material phenomenon. If this is the case, then I claim that sex reassignment surgery (and possibly even hormone treatment?) will likely harm them more than it will help them.
This distinction is critically important if we are to adequately critique transgender ideology without harming transsexuals in the process.

Trans identity politics is often a distraction cynically used by political elites.
It is estimated that under 1% of the population of adults in the United States are trans, and this figure might be underreported. Regardless, let's just consider that fact in relation to how often trans issues are discussed. Even if trans people are the most margininalized group in society, they are still likely to be little more than a million people in a country of 300+ million. Does this mean that we should dismiss trans issues? Of course not. But doesn't it seem a little odd that discussions on trans issues are growing increasingly more prevalent in not only left-wing political groups, but on Twitter, 4chan, YouTube, mainstream political/media circles, etc. in general?
Is there a conspiracy here? Not necissarily. This is a conspiracy in the same sense that the U.S. government capitalizing on 9/11 by invading Iraq was a conspiracy; you don't have to create an elaborate plan with thousands of co-conspirators to orchestrate a terrorist attack to justify invading a country, when all you have to do is wait for a tragedy to happen and use it accordingly. We should instead look for these "conspiracies of opportunism" rather than conspiracies in the traditional sense.
The "conspiracy" here emerges from the knowledge of trans issues in the first place. The internet allows these people to congregate easily and make their voices heard in every space they inhabit. Left-liberals found their opportunity within another marginalized group to fetishize and siezed upon it. Right-liberals found their opportunity within another marginalized group to persecute and siezed upon it. As communists, we should neither fetishize nor persecute these people, for by doing so we play on the liberal's battleground of culture conflicts. Rather, we should simply accept them as they, are and refocus our efforts on spreading class consciousness and assisting the working majority with their fight in the battle for democracy.

Short-term solutions to the simpler concerns of trans people are matters of common decency.
When presented with the problems of bathrooms and pronouns, we need not delve too deep into theoretical debates. All that is needed for such concerns of daily life is a stance of common sense and decency, one that the average citizen already adheres to yet might find difficult to adapt in such unusual circumstances. How to deal with bathrooms? Simply advocate for a third toilet not specific to any sex or gender. How to deal with pronouns? Simply point out that everyone has their oddities and quirks that one might need to adapt to, and whether or not you choose to respect those quirks reflects upon yourself. But what about misgendering? If a trans person's ego is so fragile that they take strong offense to an unintentional misgendering, then they have problems that go beyond their gender identity, and such equally applies negative reactions to mildly offensive jokes or the curiosity of the unknowing. Likewise, if a person consistently misgenders, prods or probes too far even when asked not to, then they should be treated as any other rude and inconsiderate person would.
If my arguments strike you as banal and obvious, good! These are psychosocial concerns of politeness and respect that varies from person to person (read: normies), and we can cultivate such excellence by promoting strong moral leadership and an attitude of universal sympathy.

Trans people are people.
Human beings are not defined by their identities, they are defined by their actions. A trans person is not someone we should infantilize or dehumanize in any way. We should be able to point out the stupidity or the brilliance of a trans person like we would any other. We should be able to critique trans ideology like we would any other. We must avoid the temptation to attach any such praise or criticism to the identity of a specific trans person, for by doing that we dehumanize them by reducing them to nothing more than an ideal. Our goal shouldn't be to cater to or alienate trans people, but to treat them as nothing more or less than real, flawed, flesh and blood people.

The Siberian box is a mindset that derives in part from the subconscious perception of isolation during normal pseudonymous internet interaction reducing social awareness beyond self-interest, combined with the general lack of comprehension, foresight or empathy regarding the operational nature of the imageboard environment and the patterns of its users. This is an emerging and multifaceted model and thus this initial exploration is crude and informal, however we can already theorize likely remedies.

has anyone else here gone from reading theory online, becoming leftist politically, and tried becoming involved with IRL activist and leftist groups only to find them mainly full of massive weirdos and mentally ill people?

I want to join an actual pro-working class org full of normal working-class people, but every group I run into / look at seems to be just outcast lumpens and dilettante PMC college kids. doesn't help that half the people involved in these groups IRL seem to be gay or trans or some other weird idpol group.

Socialists and communists claim to want to abolish class, but I must ask this question: how did class originate? It seems that it may have had something to do with the advent of agriculture, but I have also heard that some hunter-gather classes had distinct social classes. At any rate, knowing how social stratification arose in the first place seems important if you want to 1) figure out how or if a complex society could function without social classes and/or 2) figure out how to prevent social classes from arising again in the future.

Sentience

Let's stop thinking about sentience as exclusive to humans and mammals but rather as a state of self awareness found in objects that posses the following traits

1 could say let's just use a simply spherical robot for example could be considered sentient if it's main purpose was to shoot apples with bullets, if that robot had a built in camera and auditory system that allowed it to navigate its surroundings and if it was able to react to things that threatened that robots survival and ability to find and shoot apples. Its sounds simple yet sentience can extend alot deeper than something as small as and apple shooting ai, think of sentience as not just a trait but a quantifiable measurement of abstraction that allows an entity to become increasingly self aware with the more diverse reactions, observations and desires it has the more sentient or "human" it becomes and likewise entities like androids may become easier to achieve than one would think if admittedly the tech that's available is far below what a true android could utilize. Yet that doesnt feel like the case as I've gotten older I've only resented capitalism more and more it's been documented that Good working conditions, Embracing rapid technological growth, Increasing population densities and the size of cities along with promoting Full employment are the biggest factors behind the rapid accumulation of material wealth for an economy, all of whom are almost never promoted in capitalist societies like the united states if profit is lost, neoliberal cities like New York city, paris, sao Paulo, tokyo, London etc feel like hell on earth due to the rampant homelessness, crime, corruption, poverty and wealth inequality that occur in those cities, problems that could easily be fixed in a month at most yet keep themselves alive because neoliberal policies keep them alive as it generates profit. Hell most of the "successful" buissnesses like amazon and apple dont even make an actual profit anymore they get their money directly off tax payer money to fulfill government interests but the tax payer is completely alienated from any of the benefits these borderline government institutions bring, this is all happening while technological innovation is actually decelerating in growth if not halting completely like what's going on in Europe while companies like Pfizer and moderna are making billions off scamming people to take a never ending barrage of nonworking vaccines. Whatever the fuck happens to the rich in the near future is anyone's guess but it's not gonna be a pretty site for them as they're causing alot of problems and at this point are viewed by me less like hardworking individuals or at the very least individuals that were smart enough to organize people into doing great things but rather as international thieves and scammers

Well, the Soviet Union could get into some pretty avant-garde stuff in the 1920s. Look at the art and experimental theatre and films from the time. It was pretty radical. I think starting with Stalin though, things that tended to individualize people began to be discouraged, which led to a kind of conservatism (in a sense), because conservatism was no longer seen as upholding capitalism, but preserving socialism, stably as it was. I can understand this, and I like some of these values. It may have even been necessary at some level. But I think it also became fossilized in place. And it created contradictions. Because if we're supposed to conform to "socialism," and there's corruption within the party with officials taking advantage of their positions for personal reasons, then that is a big political problem. It's like individualism for them, collectivism for us. Capitalist societies don't have this problem because it's your own individual failing if you're not gaming the system to your advantage.

But I suppose it is becoming a problem because we have individualism for us, and they have collectivism for them (in a sense). The rich dress in sleek conformist turtlenecks like Steve Jobs or Elizabeth Holmes (remember her from Theranos?) and rig the system to benefit themselves as a group at the expense of everyone else.

I think you're really onto something. I can only speak to the U.S., but I think that the society that produced me was really repressed for a long time. You might say this about "Western civilization" in general for centuries with the role of the Christian religion. English Victorianism. American church culture. My dad grew up in a very strict, very conservative religious household and he rebelled against it. I don't blame him at all because it sounded really stifling.

The counterculture in the 1960s was about expressing yourself and individual freedom. Conservatives and traditionalists are deeply discomfited by the 1960s, but what did they think was going to happen? It was the negation of what came before. You don't get the negation without the repressed conservatism that preceded it, like a kid who grows up in a conservative household and then goes off to college and goes completely crazy with partying and drinking and having sex all the time because he was deprived that in high school. The wider culture turned to its opposite and embraced unbridled liberty and freedom as abstract ideals. Everything in the world turns into its opposite sooner or later.

But "freedom" and "liberty" has now turned into a kind of unfreedom and a loss of liberty. I think this is like the anti-mask people or "I'm not going to get a vaccine because it's my (abstract) 'right'" and blah blah blah. They've taken away the freedom of others because of their selfishness. The countries that handled the pandemic the best were Asian societies – which are not as conformist or as conservative as some people in the West think but they probably don't put individual freedom on a pedestal as extreme as these American boomers do. You notice they're a lot of boomers, right? But they're often on the political right. They turned to their opposite too and became ultra-individualist "conservatives" (in a sense) holding onto a "system" that is just falling apart.

So maybe what's next is the "negation of the negation." Thus the society returns to its positive. But what that looks like might not look like America in the 1950s.

One could say that small online internet communities allow people to distance themselves away from the monotony of MSM and normalfag media but what ends up happening in broken down communities is all that happens is a new cult is created, one only has to notice how every fucking(and I repeat) every fucking /pol/ user on this board consistently posts the same types of threads with so little variation that you know who wrote them before even bothering to read their posts, bunkerchan isnt different being that the cult mentality found within its users isnt different with a significant portion of members justifying events like the holodomor or showing blind support for terrorist groups that attack their own people. With other small boards like stormfront obscure reddit communities and sites like 16chan and 8chan the cult like mentality is strong enough that you can find reports of people being driven to suicide, young men committing domestic terrorism to fit in with board culture or on discord when it was still obscure with stories like rico that lead to 100s of victims getting doxed and blackmailed to serve the interests of perverted communities. Unified platforms arent perfect but there are times when I feel like I have more freedom of speech on sites like YouTube's comment section than on blue boards and nsfw boards on 4chan simply because community sizes are too large for any group to organize anything significant much less initiate any psychological damage to themselves or others

What is the best license for an artist that wants to encourage/participate in free culture? CC-BY-SA and Licence Art Libre are both copyleft and seem quite close to a GPL for art, albeit the second one hasn't have a update since 2017 and the only languages are French and English. Crypto-MMT-value theory hybrid to take over the world

I’ve been thinking about something tonight that I wanted feedback on, like whether anybody can just tear it apart or give constructive crits. It was basically a riff off of the idea that Bitcoin has a lot of volatility partially because by design its value is volatile (in the classical sense). This isn’t my observation or anything, I’ve seen it in several places, but due to the fact BTC’s block difficulty increases with the hashrate (the material costs of BTC rise) but the reward is arbitrarily fixed to the halving schedule (ever mined block rewards some fixed amount of bitcoin for several years), then the material cost (the labor cost, or similar to Ricardo, in BTC’s own terms the “difficulty”) systematically deviates from the amount of coins produced. Basically, if BTC was like any other commodity the more invested in mining it would produce more of it. But instead, the value of each BTC just inflates because no matter how much you invest in mining it, you keep getting the same amount.

So BTC’s price is just a feedback loop of the speculation on it. There isn’t a normal regulating pressure towards a natural price like other commodities, instead the value just rises with the demand. With other commodities, investment as a response to high demand usually causes the price to fall back down to its value as more are produced at the relatively stable difficulty of its production in terms of labor (all else being equal, ie no big technical changes or exogenous shocks throwing off the conditions of production).

So this has a pretty simple fix, just make something like BTC’s block reward a ratio of its difficulty. The difficulty still rises to make blocks mined at regular intervals, but as the difficulty rises the blocks produce more coins. So that should put a downwards pressure on the price of each bitcoin, it will converge closer to its cost of production as miners sell their BTC on the market for more competitive profit margins between each other and across the wider market.

So there is the crypto and value-theory part, and leave aside for a moment the question of liquidity, why people would be buying and selling this crypto as a medium of exchange. First lets get the big vision in picture. Where does MMT come in? Well, I figured that if you had a sovereign issuer of the currency, like the proverbial “money printer”, then you could use the liquidity of the currency to make money “out of thin air”. But of course, you can’t make too much too fast. It has to be in respect to the liquidity, the open market has to be able to absorb your sale of the crypto without strongly throwing off the price. But again, leave that aside for a moment. Just assume you can, that the market is liquid enough. Imagine the Printer is controlled by the working class, obviously through democratically structured working class organizations. So the Printer is accountable and transparent to the working class.

What does the Printer do with the money? In accordance with MMT, the sovereign issuer can spend as much of its currency as it wants and is only constrained by the productivity of the market that is using it. Basically, as long as more goods and services are being traded in the currency, then it isn’t going to drastically inflate. How does the Printer increase its market, which is basically increasing the size and liquidity of the market for its currency? It uses the money to buy property, which it leases, leases being payable in the currency (as far as I know, in the US you can accept whatever you want for payment federally, but state laws may vary. You just need to pay your taxes in dollars). But why do this, what does it have to do with socialism or the working class? Well, you can buy residential land and lease it back to housing cooperatives you help the tenants form, or for homes you can do what Community Land Trusts do and kind of simulate a housing market, except you lower the costs significantly by turning the land value into a modest lease (which is basically georgism, CLTs are like little non-profit georgists).

So now you’re taking residential property off of the housing market and leasing it for modest fees payable in the crypto. This creates liquidity as it raises demand for the crypto, stabilizing the price as when the exchange rate to dollars is low the lessees will buy more so they can pay cheaper fees, which pushes the price back up. So you’re creating a growing market in the crypto, and you’re culling landlordism. Great, but we can go further.

So take how businesses often get sold. Often the buyer will buy the assets + goodwill of the business and leave the actual LLC or corporation as a shell that still has all of its liabilities. So you avoid any hidden debt bombs or anything like that. The Printer can do the same thing, but the Printer isn’t interested in owning businesses. It just wants to lease property to the people who live and work with it to control it mutually. So instead it buys the assets + goodwill and it tells the employees it will help them form a worker cooperative and lease them the stuff. Of course, they pay it in the crypto. So now we are in businesses, and we are converting them to worker coops while continuing to expand the liquidity of our currency in a virtuous cycle.

I think that is a decent summary of the big vision, so now jump backwards to how you get started. It would be very difficult, as crypto people will be skeptical of a Proof of Work coin that has what appears as an arbitrarily powerful network participant. Why have this decentralized PoW coin but also a money printer? Well on one hand ideally the crypto is actually competitive when it comes to transaction fees, so that businesses and individuals might be induced to choose it to make transactions and transfer money rather than something like Visa. If that is the case, great, we are in the free market now! But I don’t think you want to rely on that, after all how do you market this thing? The crypto space is awash in random scammy coins, how do you stand out and grow enough to start your scheme of printing and selling crypto to raise money?

That is where practical politics comes in, the only way I can imagine it is if you partner with currently existing orgs and influential people on the left. And after all, this isn’t supposed to be your dictatorship, it has to be sustainable. It has to be democratically accountable, the working class needs to engage with it and have oversight of it, have a stake. So you partner with some orgs that have reach through either their membership or simply their social presence, and they communicate what is going on. Hopefully then you have an activist base that basically starts trying to help by finding ways to transact in the currency, contributing computing power to a mining pool would be easy and helpful, to increase its liquidity. They’re basically indirectly funding the project, so you’re pooling funds without using crowdfunding or issuing securities. It is all decentralized, people are mining the coins themselves. It is only later when the market is more liquid that the Printer comes in, prints some and sells it at the market rate. Then it gets to work.

Ideally this would grow exponentially, as there would be that virtuous cycle of growing the market for the currency by acquiring and leasing property in the currency (simulating a tax basically). Eventually you’d probably run into legal trouble, hopefully because of how threatening you look, and you start getting sued or dragged before Congress or something. But this is actually good and normal. You’re being threatening, you’ve started expropriating the capitalist class with their own tools. It is like a leveraged buyout of their class’s property. But when Congress or the SEC or whatever starts taking you to task, starts calling you criminal, you just make it loud and clear in public that all you’ve done is increase the wealth of the working class. You’re not price gouging or anything, what is your crime? Who are you hurting? Obviously the answer is the bourgeoisie, you’re threatening their hegemony over capital. So the class struggle comes out, there is a real alternative being presented. Do you want control over the money printer to be in the hands of this cabal of assholes who are trying to stop you so they can continue funding military adventures and benefits for the wealthy? Or do you go with the money printer that lowered the cost of living of hopefully hundreds of thousands of people and made them wealthier by cutting out their landlords and capitalists?

Last thing I’ll say is that obviously this idea is low on details, which would necessarily be messy as finding real political consensus and will on the left to embark on such an exotic project would be hard. I think a lot of the bigger orgs would feel threatened by it too, in the sense that they’d feel the inherent risk involved. But ironically I think that risk comes from how this structure would definitely expose them to various forms of legal harassment due to how it doesn’t really have many institutional precedents. The DSA has an institutional shape, it is a non-profit political association. Labor unions have institutional shapes, they have prescribed channels with calculable risk. But something like this doesn’t, which is a part of what gives it its opportunity. It would have to have a strong democratic connection to the people it is participating with. The tenants would need to have powers in something like the bylaws of the Printer, like the ability to veto any proposed building sale by the Printer. I think aside from any democratic means of appointing the managers of the Printer (through the orgs or through membership as tenants or whatever), those kinds of isolated veto powers would be helpful in making sure that the larger org doesn’t abuse the smaller parts that are using the mutually owned property, and the smaller parts don’t abuse the whole

Capitalist Atrophy of Nationalism

Just what exactly is the true relation of nationalism and capitalism? Nationalism taken to extreme is fascism, although some comrades believe that fascism is capitalism in decay. Yet capitalism tends toward transnationalism, globalism, reduced trade boundaries, so that it can optimize its logistics, evade taxes, and bypass laws for the maximization of profits.

A noticeable effect of hypercapitalism (capitalism at the globalized stage) is how it atrophies its host nations and the pillars of nationalistic authority. Consider for instance, the considerable brain drain away from high skilled educated white caller workers moving away from government roles and instead going to work for Big Tech where they can get paid for and work in a tee shirt. Granted, Big Tech has all sorts of incestuous contracts with the government to the extent that the line between them is blurring, but there is the impression that the technological level of governments hosting these companies is second rate to the private interests.

Another aspect of it is that capitalism does the absolute most it can to avoid taxes, and the international corporate law allows Google for example to avoid taxes by incorporating in Ireland using the so called double Irish loophole. Capitalism seemingly inevitably atrophies its host nations, especially by leading to overwhelming wealth concentration and the corresponding decline in the public good.

Considering America has allowed capitalism to completely parasitize it is the leading example of this phenomenon and its current trajectory backs up this analysis.

A few questions:

1. Is there a relation between fascism and capitalism? If so, how does that square with the above?
2. How does China, which tightly controls its private sector, factor into this?

Gender abolitionists claim that gender itself is a social construct. This is true, gender is a social construct - it is the roles you play in society based on your behavior, your hormone levels, your dress, your appearance.

Why?
Because nonbinary individuals and non-dysphoric transitioners are not yet valid.
As it is in the western world, no insurance company is going to be willing to cover your appearance changes without good reason. The Left IS Western Civilization - Or rather Platonic Civilization.

Political wings can be the entirety of civilizations:
1) Where the opposing wing (Right) is chiefly responsible for the degradation and destruction of said civilization, the opposed wing (Left), by process of elimination IS it.
2) Where theorists of the opposing (Right) political wing betray the original context of the civilization for a rootless, reactionary mysticism, the opposed (Left) political wing IS it.
3) Where the opposing wing (Right, Left-Liberal) denounce the very founders of said civilization, the opposed wing (Left) IS it.
4) Where said political wing (left) has historically demonstrated the ability to rejuvenate that civilization, that wing IS it.
5) Despite ethnic differences from the original form of that civilization, by exemplifying its theories, a political wing (Left) may seize claim to and own that civilization as its true heir and thereby BECOME it.

Particular historical facts to the above premise:
i) Historically speaking and in the present, it is the world right wing that is responsible for the destruction of Western civilization, that is, Platonic Civilization (The civilization that embodies the Form of the Good by turning Philosophers-in-Training into Philosopher-Kings, like Lenin, Stalin). Just look at the amount of destruction Operation Barbarossa inflicted:

What is the materialist explanation for communist and radical revolutions almost exclusively happening in extremely conservative/reactionary societies? I mran come on 1917 Russia, the bastion of traditionalism and Christianity in Europe suddenly murders the Emperor, burns churches, legalizes abortion, abolishes torture and corporal punishment, grants women full rights and absolutely anhilliates the landowning class which was a staple of Russian society for centuries. And a majority of the population embraces it enthusiastically with very sparse and unpopular rebellions. Hell, anarchism became popular.

Then we got Spain, the home of the inquisitioin suddenly have the catholic church dismembered by angry citizens. Not to mention China, Mongolia, Cambodia and others. I know workers were suffering especially bad in these countries, but some of these people valued their traditions more than a full stomach and wouldn't the local communist leaders simply ditch the cultural part of the revolution and just embrace redistribution and collectivization under a nationalist anti imperialist banner.

Why did the countries that were seen as the most spooked so eager to embrace an ideology that promised to turn upside down everything they ever knew and create something new and radical, while the historical hotspots of enlightened intellectuals and philosophers like france,Italy and Germany never even came close to having a successful revolution and turned out to have the most disinterested and passive populace.

I just don't understand the paradox of the most radical and open minded societies (by 20th century standards) ended up being the most passive while revolution swept exclusively parts of the world that were hostile to this kind of "blasphemy".

Does living under repressive traditionalism create rebelious generations waiting for the right moment to erupt or is it more complex? I'd like to hear some opinions. Why did we have the most sucess in the most unlikely of places that even Marx wrote off as too spooked? Hell even afghanistan had a sucessful revolution and people there have a 1400s mindset.

First you had the Austin Red Guards, and now you have Black Hammer.

It is one thing to be a post-trotskyist movement that seems to lack organization but is still making an effort regardless and another to be unrelentingly radical to the point of suspicion. Petty bourgeois radicalism as experienced from Maoists and now Black Hammer will always provide material for right wing opportunists to portray us as petty, warmongering, and divisive.

They see the county as a symbol when it is the whole of law and control of economics. In the case of transfems, we're seen as active sexual deviants - ergo, we're treated with the same aggressive disdain as if we were on a sex offender registry. Are we trying to use the restroom in a public space? Clearly we're trying to abuse children or "real" women. Are we out at a club trying to get laid or on a dating app trying to start a relationship? Clearly we're trying to trick and deceive straight men/bi men/bi girls/lesbians, because deception gets our rocks off. Are we expressing the fact that we have fetishes or a sex drive?
